The miracles he performed are split up into four types: physical healings, nature miracles, exorcisms, and raisings from the dead. On of his infamous miracles is the raising of his friend Lazarus from the dead. After Jesus received a message from both of Lazarus’ sister saying that he was very ill, Jesus began his journey to help Lazarus. Upon arrival, Jesus found out that Lazarus had already been dead for four days. One of the sisters leads Jesus to Lazarus’ tomb, there he says a prayer for his friend to resurrect. Soon after, Lazarus walked out of the tomb very much alive (John 11). Another miracle is the event of Jesus multiplying food for five thousand people. A large group of men followed Jesus cross the Sea of Galilee after seeing the things he was capable of. Jesus sat them down in a meadow as one of his disciples brought him a boy who had bread and fish. He gave thanks and was able to multiply and feed the five thousand people just from the small amount the boy had given him (John 6: 1-14). These miracles were quite astonishing but the greatest miracle is God being able to live as a human through Jesus. Through Jesus’ great leadership, powerful teachings, and amazing miracles, he was able to shed light on God's Kingdom to the world.
