Friar Lawrence’s first mistake was marrying Juliet to Romeo. He knows that they had just met the night before. Friar Lawrence also knows that the night Romeo and Juliet meet, Romeo was “in love” with Rosealine. When Romeo and Juliet went to Friar Lawrence, Friar Lawrence should have been a adult since he is one and told them no. He could have also told the young lovers why it wasn’t ok to get married and If the teenagers still didn’t listen he could have told they’re parents. The Friar could have also counseled them to wait and not to jump into things and how it was okay to be in love but how they should wait and think everything through. The Friar could have stoped everything from happening if he would have told Romeo and Juliet’s parents about them wanting to get married and he could have not married them. Some people will say that it is the nurses fault because she didn’t tell Juliet’s parents however, The Priest knew both Romeo and Juliet’s parents so he could have told either parents. Some people also say that the nurse is to blame because she helped Romeo and Juliet get married, however not only did The Friar marry the teenagers but he also made a plan for them to be together. With the Nurse she was getting payed by the Capulets, so she may not have know if she should do what the Capulets wanted or what their daughter
