Although it is known that social and environmental factors often play a role in happiness and well-being, personality traits reflect how well we can cope with external stressors. In this study, individuals took the Neo Five Factor Inventory while taking three different scales used to determine happiness or well-being. I correlation was discovered that revealed that those individuals who scored low on Neuroticism and high on Extraversion had higher levels of happiness and well-being. This indicates that personality traits are important at predicting how well individuals can naturally cope with real world stressors. When looking at the struggles that the Tran* community deals with, it is important to look at how personality traits may affect a person’s ability to cope and this can lead to a better understanding of what level of support a person may need based on their individual
