Many studies have proved there is a connection between personality characteristics, biological factors, and social interactions that predict criminal behavior. However, an individual with a history of a genetic tendency within his or her family for criminal behavior does not determine the actions or future of that person, but “if they are exposed to the right environment, then their chances are greater for engaging in criminal or anti-social behavior”( (Holmes, 2001).
