The theory tells tries to show that the moon and earth was together when they past through a black hole. When going through the black hole the moon and earth separated as they are today. The only flaw in that theory is that it wouldn't explain why the moon orbits the earth. The theory that is probably the most trustworthy is the Giant Impact Hypothesis. The Giant Impact Hypothesis is that when the earth was still forming around 4.5 billion years ago the moon hit the earth, at least now it is called the moon before this mars sized planetoids was called Theia.
