In the following quote, Percy is reflecting back on what happened between him and the Minotaur years ago. Percy reflects, “Four years ago he nearly killed my mother. I still have nightmares about it”(181). This quote is on the evil side because the Minotaur is the first monster Percy fought by himself. The Minotaur almost killed his mother and in the book, Percy is quoted saying that the incident with the Minotaur still gives him nightmares even though it happened years ago. Annabeth views Percy as one of the most important people in her life. Annabeth thinks that she couldn’t live without Percy being at her side. This develops the plot of the story because Annabeth and Percy go on many side quests together and end up saving Olympus together. Annabeth and Percy end up dating and that keeps them from dying in Taurus. On the other hand, Percy’s half-brother Tyson protects Percy every time he is in need. In the following quote, Tyson is saying to Percy before Percy goes back to Olympus for the most dangerous mission of his life. Tyson says, “I will miss you brother” (41). This quote shows how good of a friend and brother Tyson is to Percy. Even when their dad’s palace is being destroyed. Tyson still
