Thus, group name, aims and objectives were decided. However, some members initially saw the simulation as boring, but I motivated and told them will be exciting in the coming weeks. I personally thought is going to be repetition from undergraduate, but was proven wrong as, my research skills, fundamental and technical analysis has improved drastically, with constantly asking ‘why’. The game enabled putting into practice the concepts I had learned in theory. Although the decision to which shares, amount, sectors, and market to invest wasn’t easy, it can be argued that the diversity of the team and background differences saved time in understanding things. For example, a member with experience in banking and investment aided us in understanding some concepts which minimised research work. Also, others had knowledge on the Canadian, Chinese market, myself with UK market, hence enhanced effective delegation of tasks and success of simulation (Hughes and Jones, 2011). Since the start, there has been open discussion on what to invest and reasons, upon explanation, democratically decision is made, however, some trades were done individually based on a member strong instinct on the shares. Regarding the team dynamics, the literature provides proof that our group have shown several positive aspects for producing successful teamwork. Commitment and clear communication have shown to be key in achieving goals. I can personally say teamwork understanding and new set of ideas have been created. One area considered upon reflection is to have allowed my group members more opportunity to express their ideas and opinions. I felt like I suggested ideas quickly, and strong about my opinions. While this can be good thing, I think sometimes I didn’t allow my group members enough opportunity to give their own ideas, because I would state ideas and the group would just run with it because I felt so strong about
