Again and again, the concerns of children in this high school aged group are dismissed. They are in this awkward age of being treated like children and adults at the same time. To go into this project from the point of view of an adult is an interesting concept. While in high school, you think your world is ending over a breakup or a rumor; as adults, we dismiss these issues as silly teenage problems. I found parts of the book to be vulgar and inappropriate for that age group, so I think it is more geared toward adults. Ironically, high school aged students should be able to read this book because these are the types of issues they are going through. I cannot recommend it for them, however, because of the inappropriateness (especially being a teacher at a Catholic High School). I would suggest adults read this book to remember the struggles they may have going through in high school and to have more sympathy for the teenagers in their life. In that adult category, I would recommend new high school teachers or college students becoming high school teachers read this book. It’s very important for us to teach our students our content, but also remember they have complicated lives. This book can help better grasp
