Document 2 talks about how women in the 1920s had gain more freedom socially, politically and economically. Socially women could go out without a man and dress how they wanted and be free to do whatever. Politically women were finally able to vote which meant that they finally had power when it came to their country. Economically women had more jobs opportunities before that they would only have jobs like teachers and nurses. Document 8a talks about how women were the first ones to lose their jobs during the great depression. Since men were “above” women during that era of time and it would look bad that a women had a job and that a man didn’t.It also talks about in document 8a about how even though women were the first to lose their jobs they also gained them faster than man. Women had more freedom than ever in the 1920s but then in the 1930s most jobs were taken away from women but they recovered quickly. African Americans faced discrimination after WW1 in the 1920s and even struggled more during the great depression ,but thanks to FDR’s New Deals they survived.
