There are three types of humanistic therapy they are, person-centered therapy, Gestalt therapy and existential therapy. Behavior therapy are named that way because they focused on the specific behaviors that lead the client to seek therapy and address the current variables that maintain problematic thoughts, feelings and behaviors. People who are behavior therapist tend to to think that behavior change results from the operation of basic principles of learning, especially classical condition, operant condition and observational learning. All that it is, these people hold beliefs that play the central role in our feelings and behaviors. These therapies share three common assumptions. (1) cognitions are identifiable and measurable (2) cognitions are the key players in both healthy and unhealthy psychological functioning and the last out of the three would be irrational beliefs or catastrophic, which all it is, thinking such as "I am worthless-and will never succeed at anything." can be replaced with more rational and adaptive conditions, or viewed in a more accepting light.
