Symptoms usually appear between the ages of 30 to 50, and worsen over a 10 to 25 year period. People who have Huntington's disease usually have mood swings and changes, they often will get depressed, have anxiety, and irritable moods. People with Cognitive Disorders from HD have difficulties focusing and concentrating learning new things and can have outbursts out of nowhere. HD can cause clumsiness, loss of short term memory, weight loss, and other symptoms. People with HD may eventually need full nursing care. Early symptoms of HD are emotional changes and personality changes are usually the first signs of HD, people with HD may seem more frustrated. Later symptoms of HD is severe movement disorders, it can be hard to get around physically and do easy physical tasks, even speaking. All this therapy for HD helps with either strength, flexibility, balance and coordination or eating/swallowing/speaking or behavioral or mental things. There are also medicines such as Antidepressants, Antipsychotic drugs, Tetrabenazine, and Mood-stabilizing drugs like Depacon.
