Reflective teaching and reflection as a person is an area I have struggled to complete in the past. The coursework in this program have required reflection causing me to dig deep and elaborate on areas I would normally state exactly how I feel and move on. In my personal life, I have always questioned why things happen and what I could do to improve the outcome. However, I was uneducated on how to use this procedure in my classroom and as a leader. I know this position may not be as a curriculum director or administration, but someone who works with students in a different manner. My time in the classroom has been rewarding, along with the experience as a FCCLA adviser. However, I feel I can reach students outside my classroom and FCCLA. I am currently working on a project, L.I.F.E. (Leaders Influencing Future Excellence). This program will reach approximately 100 students, 50 student leaders and 50 who may be vulnerable to peer pressure or may not be excelling in leadership areas, but have the potential. The students will come together and work on team building/leadership skills and visit the local justice center complex to hear about current issues in high schools and how to correct those behaviors. I am excited to see the students interact and hope the program will become annual and result in students making positive
