With government's campaigns and efforts to encourage couples to have more children, it intervenes with the citizen's belief and family values and choices with regards to how many children they would like to have. By having incentives such as Baby Bonus, which helps the couple with the financial cost of raising a child and offering tax relief for adults with children, it encourages bigger family with more children. Also, through pro-family campaigns such as "Baby Singapore 2013", activities such as baby shows and parenting workshops are held nationwide to promote family bonding. These campaigns promote parenthood and starting a family through having children. The result of having more children is for a stronger workforce in the future. With an ageing population, more working adults are necessary to ensure that our economy would continue prospering and the economic growth can be maintained. With more children, there will be more working adults in the future to support our ageing population. There will be a smaller dependency ratio and the burden of taking care of an elderly will not be so high if there are more working adults to share the load.
