Prior to interviewing the subject of my paper, I created a list of interview questions I felt she would be appropriate based on my previous knowledge of her. I typed up the list of questions in a document to be used during the discussion. The actual interview was approximately two hours, with an additional half hour the next day after the questions from the previous conversation jogged some memories. During each discussion I typed her responses. Important Life History Events The subject of my paper grew up in a small town in central Mexico. Before moving to the Nebraska area, she had resided in a few other regions of the United States. She stated many times that the life she lives now is very different to the one she lived there. Emphasizing this point, she began to talk about her experience with education where she grew up. Beginning at 8:00 A.M., students sat in their assigned class. Throughout the day the same group of students remained in their classroom while the instructors for different subjects rotated through all the classrooms. The day concluded at 1:30 P.M.
