In this research I would be studying why the physically activity in youth has been diminishing over the past years; the problems created there in and the steps one should take to remove this global problem and prevent it from becoming more serious issue. As a teenager, being fit is an important thing in my life hence I chose this topic for research.
INTRODUCTION
WHO defines physical activity as any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that call for energy expenditure – including activities undertaken while working, playing, carrying out household chores, travelling, and engaging in recreational activities.
The term "physical activity" should not be confused with "exercise", which is a subcategory of physical activity that is planned, structured, repetitive, and aims to improve or maintain one or more components of physical fitness. Both, moderate and vigorous intensity physical activity brings health benefits.
Globally, around 31% of adults aged 15 and over were insufficiently active in 2008 (men 28% and women 34%). Approximately 3.2 million deaths each year are attributable to insufficient physical activity.( data provided by WHO, 2008)

The participation in organized sports offers the chance for youth people to enhance their physical and social skills. A balance should be maintained that matches the child’s maturity, skills, and their interests with their sports participation. Sports offer children a change from the monotony of their daily life. It is also a useful means of entertainment and physical activity for them. Sports and games are the ways of enhancing the children’s mental and physical growth. Sports help them in character building and provides them energy and
