The process of planning leading and controlling a project can affect many parties and likewise be affected by many. According to previous research, stakeholders have an important impact in projects success regardless of the industry thus they are important in construction sector. However the level of implication of stakeholders may vary from one geographic location to another. Positive effects such as better infrastructures higher standards of living are effortlessly noticeable .Negative affects however are barely visible as they include different levels of deterioration not just observable on construction sites but also in distant surroundings. In this context a project stakeholder is defined as any individual, group or organization who may affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision, activity or outcome of the project (Pmbok 5th Edition 2012).Three groups of stakeholders are identified, stakeholders within the project also referred to as internal stakeholders, those exterior to project but within organization and finally stakeholders excluded from project and organization referred to as external stakeholders. Although external stakeholders are not vested in projects in general and in construction projects in particular they still have a major stake in the venture, thus there is a need for an appropriate stakeholders mapping to first identify stakeholders, secondly revisit their impact on project’s success factors and finally adopt an applicable strategy in line with project’s goals. a deduction research method will lead to demonstrate that external stakeholders have a major impact on construction product deliverables (time, cost and quality) thus the need for stakeholders mapping in projects. Predictions show that there is indeed a narrow correlation between management of external stakeholders and accomplishment of project goals whether being public or private investment.
