Central Idea: Brazil has so many different aspects that make it a very unique and interesting place to live.
Introduction
I. Did you know that 60% of Brazil is the Amazon rainforest?
II. I want to talk to you about some of the more important things that make living in Brazil so unique.
III. I have such a strong connection to this country because it is where my husband is from.
IV. Personally I feel that I have learned so many life lessons from my in-laws that it goes to say I feel like I practically have lived there, and I’ve done extensive research.

It was created by the African slaves who were forced to go to Brazil
1. It is made from the meat of the pig that is typically rejected.
2. You add the rejected meat, to a stew with beans and other spices.
B. When serving this dish it typical to serve it with rice as a side dish.
1. It is also recommended to be served with oranges to help with the bitterness of the meat.
2. It takes just about a full day to cook this food, so the meat and beans can simmer together creating a delicious mixture.
Now let’s talk about the Amazon.
II. The Amazon is the biggest rainforest in the world.
A. It houses almost 30% of the world’s species.
1. There has been an estimation of more than 430 different species found in the Amazon.
2. These species range from panthers to rodents, and house some of the biggest rodents in the world
B. Many indigenous people live in the rain forest and are labeled the “uncontacted groups”.
1. Brazil has about 77 of these groups that want to be left completely alone.
2. Though not all of these groups choose to be uncontacted, some often venture outside of the Amazon.
