In this week case scenario, the first reason I believe the nurse should be concerned about the patient is the use of illegal drug before coming to the hospital. The physician is the one that can also answer any question that patient might have and explain the risk and benefits to of their procedure or treatment. The nurse as the patient advocate should witness the consent and ensure patient understand before proceeding.
