In today’s society many can’t say the phrases “we’re together, or we’re dating, etc” as much as it was said back then. Dating now is a thing of the past and hookup is the thing of the present in my opinion. Years ago to actually have a boyfriend or girlfriend it was easy, you just have to go on a couple dates and see if the person is the right one for you or if the are the perfect match for you. Now people have to go through a lot of phases and experiences before you two are actually dating or together, and sometimes the person is just trying to hook up with a person. So really dating is a thing of the past, and hookup is the present.
