Fresh seafood, almond cake, Tiropita (cheese puff), ham, thyme honey, Feta cheese, and local fruits and veggies whipped into mouthwatering (not to mention healthy) dishes is something you will never forget when you visit Kefalonia. Their cuisine is a reflection of the imaginative combinations and genuine love the locals have for their food.
9. The wine
With approximately 48 grape varieties grown on the island, you will have your fill of wine. Perhaps the best known vinum from Kefalonia is the Robolo, an aromatic white variety of superior quality. Have an intimate tour of the vineyards and wineries before buying a bottle to enjoy on the beach.
