Almost all French Canadian’s first language is French but the official language of Canada is English. It means French Canadian need to speak English too. However, They have respect for their own language so they want to independent from Canada. In that time, How their mind was change with history. Quebecois were worry about being minorities in their own territories. Mainly after 1960s, they have held discriminatory feelings of fear and confidence because everyone can speak English but they cannot. They might feel discriminatory feelings. However, their negative feel being weakened and they find their language and identity of distinct. Also they can have confidence that they can perform better by own self. From this time, The identity became important especially language. And thereby Quebec independence movement was begin. These conflicting attitudes have made language policy in Quebec when 1977. The laws help to French speakers in Quebec. However, problem is not only of language and identity. They make controversies about linguistic communal, individual rights and other minorities ' rights. Government created law of official language act, It is good for French canadian because they can use French in Quebec. However, all people have to learn French and English even people who live in Quebec. A lot of people obey this law but they respect their language a lot even now. Canada is bilingualism society but some people cannot understand about this either. How much are they respect and protect identity of their own language. When they want to independent from Canada, they did a lot of action. Most biggest action is “October Crisis”. It occurred in Quebec, Canada in October 1970. There is a one terrorists group call FLQ.
