Voter apathy talks about the lack of people voting and talks about the turn out for some of the recent elections. It also talks about who is more likely to vote. People who have good paying jobs, college degrees, whites, and home owners are more likely to vote than people who are in poverty. If we look at a sociologist perspective we can see that people who make more money tend to vote more. This is because people who make more money tend to be more affected by changes in laws example getting taxed if you make more than 100,000 dollars a year if you do not want to get taxed more you will go and vote for someone who gives tax breaks.
This article brings up the topic of gun control and how gun easy it is to get a gun in the United States. Gun control is a problem in the United States. One idea I thought about is doing research on who owns a gun and who does not. One way I would do this research is by handing out questionnaires about guns. Some questions on the questionnaire would include why do you own a gun, what state are you from, what is your stance on guns? I would ask these questions to better understand people who own guns and the reasons behind them owning
