I believe most people are looking forward and others are not ready. One of biggest input is financial stability and other has developed skills to survive. Notice in some cases that many when they work are more likely to have personality changed. Others, when they retired, are more likely relax, lifestyle planned and happiest. And others have nothing to gain for retirement and has barely begun. For instance, my father stated, “last years he mentioned I will retire, in 2017” On father day I ask again, about retirement plan and he said that Mom is not ready for me to retire. I see their psychological process of retirement is nature feelings, emotional and scare to face transitioning. Significant changes and financial do occur. I believe my Mother has those concerned. Although others are phasing honeymoon, some couples experience lifestyle differently. Others will continue the daily routine at home, friends, and family.
Describe changes in marriage, family, and peer relationships
The impact of changes in marriage, family, and peers cannot be underestimated. The importance of families is vital in our lifetime. I believe it is one of the important support in our lives. Those in later adulthood have a positive support from families, spouse, grandchildren, and greater changes to live life enjoyment. Verse those who are feeling unwanted, unneeded, helpless, a mixture of negative feelings and unable to reach out to the family for support. Many die of loneliness and or in a convalescent center.
