Christina stated family brings togetherness in one’s home. People of the family may lack heritage, and belonging due to the transition in which may result to anger, or bad health due to a cultural change. Researchers have also found that it serves as a health-enhancing variable; that is Latinos who remain close to their cultural traditions experience better health outcomes (Drabi and Ortiz, 1987; Scriber and Dwyer, 1989). Culture and ethnicity play a big role and serves as a nurturing environment to help individuals come together. In the text it states Latinos experience a sense of belonging, purpose pride and dignity in the community and draw their strength from important values of respect, dignity and persona relationships and support from the family (Appleby al 2001 pg. 114). Trusting one another can help develop more social interactions of adapting to a new social demographic.

With the low education rates occupations for Hispanics can be hard. Majority of Hispanics are hired as a sales representative and matienence, although others do have the beneficial of becoming a doctor or lawyer. Employment among Hispanics has increased five percent over the last twelve months according to the labor department.
