The communication between individual can be described as a linear process that involves the interaction among groups of people. The information is received by the individual who has to focus and form their own understanding of the information that is being given. The information is then received and an answer is returned. The conversation continues causing an interaction and communication between the individuals. Information can also be transformed through television, radio and written in newspapers. According to Walton (2014) suggest it is important to present the linear model to individuals in their community (p. 116). Walton (2014) implies that the linear information can be transformed in a mass production (p. 120). Thus, the neither parties is not aware of exactly who is giving or getting the information. The linear model is much like the interactive model. The individual who receives the message has the opportunity to respond to the message. The individual involved in the interactive model of communication has the opportunity to respond to what is appropriate. The process continues as individual interact with each other. Rather than sitting around observing an individual doing the wrong thing, the individual has a moral obligation to do what is correct. All ethical communication has to be honest, as the information given remains confidential. Any individual who has decided to follow the ethical principles is showing moral ethics. The individual in the Abu Ghuraib story showed great strength in his own personal values. The individual who spoke out felt obligated to report the inappropriate behavior of the individuals involved.
