He continues to support it by saying that there is no differences between the state of war and state of nature because in order to survive, people have to be ready to fight in both the environment. In Leviathan, he said that life is “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short” and every person has a natural right to do whatever It takes to preserve their own lives.
