Description of health issue-The tiny hair cells in your ear change sound into electrical signals that are carried to the brain and documented as sound. After long periods of time listing to any type of sound over 70 decibels (dB)(the unit sound is measured in) can harm your ears. When people listen to music your ears are taking in incredible amounts of sound. That Is why in schools you think that kids are just ignoring you but they might actually not hear you.
