Lysias's and Socrates First Speech
In ancient Greek, there were different believe and ideas about the love and soul that made a calm conflict between the two philosophies. Lysias’s speech talked about the preparation of a sexual connection between an old man and a young boy that these types of relationships were often avoided in the community, and Pederasty did not affect the relationship with females. Also, the boy and old man could get married after when they want. However, Socrates showed a complement to the Lysias argument, and instead of awarding the advantageous of the non-lover, Socrates talked about the negative effects of the lover. In this circumstance, the boy and non-lover should describe love and its assets. Love is type of desire. Differentiating a male who is in love from a male who is not, one has to understand the both moralities that rule men such as "inborn desire for pleasures and acquired judgment that pursues what is best". While the prior had power, the state was called “outrageousness”. At what time, the end took capability, the state was called “being in your right mind”. “Outrageousness” had several titles like the need for gluttony and the wish for drink. In contrast, for Socrates, the most powerful want was the one who wished to “take pleasure in beauty”. Moreover, when the lover was obsessed by outrageous aspiration, he would confidently pursue what was greatest pleasing with his honorable. As a sick man got benefits from the weaker rather than the stronger in order to precede pleasure, so essentially the boy used to be weaker or the man used to make him weaker. As a result, the man accused the boy and used his mind to not think about joy and pleasure, and he killed the positive thinking of the boy's kindness. Also, the homeless or non-family boys could be faced these types of man because men prefer them that can be treated
