The disadvantages of the bazooka was its size, weight, and range. The creation of the first atomic bomb was called the Manhattan project. In 1945 they took the completed atomic bomb to New Mexico to test it. The bomb was a success. When bomb detonated it “stretched 40,000 feet into the air and generated the destructive power of 15,000 to 20,000 tons of TNT” (History). Now that they knew it worked they were going to use it on
