I am a Radiology technologist (BSc., India), studied MSc Medical Imaging, University of Aberdeen, UK.
My primary interests are MR image acquisitions and processing, quantitative, multimodal imaging. My curiosity started from the fundamental characteristics of MRI. It is a fascinating modality that harness the various tissue features, producing different image contrast and tissue information from spectroscopy to quantitative imaging. I am aspiring to research its further possibilities, by learning in an experimental setup.
I would like to work towards biomarker development, using multi-parametric quantitative MR, translating to clinical applications. As stepping stones and to fill my shortfall in programming, I studied certificate …show more content…
The project, “Cardiac gating on Spinal cord Diffusion MRI and motion correction”, could not suite the best of my potential interest. However, I have successfully completed the first semester (Jan – April 2016), learned the basics of Python; Shell scripting, Spinal Cord Toolbox and performed a literature review. In addition, I have scored grade A in a course at McGill (Advanced Medical Imaging, winter 2016).
My motivation to apply for research assistant is to learn the research skills towards a research career in MRI. I believe, this opportunity will harness the understanding of MRI, learn methodological programming skills in developing MR pulse sequencing and tools for quantification.
This is an admirable opportunity to work, learn, and contribute at Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging centre. With everlasting interest in MRI, enthusiasm to learn, dedication to work and motivation to contribute; given this opportunity I aim to add quality work. I have attached my resume. I appreciate an opportunity to discuss the position & my
