Florence was home to many artists that advanced Renaissance art, including Giotto, Lippi, Botticelli and Michelangelo, who all pushed for the changes in art that defined came to define “Renaissance art”. As well as these famous painters (and sculptures), Florence is home to the largest masonry dome in existence, the work of Brunelleschi, who also discovered a method to draw accurate perspective, changing painting.
