The Medial corticospinal tract which controlls muscles and motor functions, and is located in lower medulla.
The anterolateral tract which controlls process of pain and touch, and is located in the spinal cord.
The spinal cord hemisection at the level of L1 is a hemicord lesion, also know as Brown-Sequard syndorme.
