High rates of comorbidity, the diagnosis of several disorders, are considered to be a limitation of the DSM-5 because it reveals the extreme overlap in symptoms that are outlined and the unclear boundaries that exist when making a diagnosis. The symptom that most clearly distinguishes ODD from DMDD is the way in which their outbursts and irritability is directed. A child playing a video game might not only know what it feels like to virtually kill or beat up another opponent but might no longer even see it as something that affects them. Next, the knowledge structure of aggression beliefs and attitudes might be impacted. Once children might have had the perspective that aggression was bad and they should avoid it but the reality of their video game allows them to think it is good and desirable. Lastly, a child’s knowledge structure concerning aggressive behavior scripts might change in response to their video game usage. A child may have previously only shown aggression through mild insults but suddenly their video game has taught them a whole different way of interacting with people in an aggressive tone (Anderson & Bushman,
