1) Protein
Our body is made up of billions of cells. The cells are what forms the tissues and organs in our body. Proteins are what makes up the cells and are complex substances that are essential for the building and functions of the cells within our body.
a) Growth Repair and maintaining our body cells.
Our body requires protein for it to grow healthily and to repair the used body cells and tissues in our body. For example if we have a cut, proteins will be the one which helps our body heal the wound.

The fats within our body provide about 20%-30% of the energy which our body needs. But, fats should be consumed sparingly as excessive consumption of fats could lead to health problems.
a) Provide warmth for the body
Fats under our skin, act as a insulator to keep our body warm. By the fats acting as a insulator, the fats help to prevent our body from losing too much heat.
b) Providing protection for the internal organs
The fats within our body, help protect our internal organs for example the lungs, liver and heart from shock and damage by acting as a cushion by surrounding the organs.
c) Acting as a solvent for fat-soluble
