Every multicellular organism has originated his life with only a one fertilized egg , which then maximized by the well known process of division of cell. In cell division process the cell is obtained by the already existed cell or pre existed cell stated by Ruolf Virchow in 1855. The process divison of cells is uasuall same in all of the living organisms.
Division of cells is furtherly divided into two types :-
1) Mitosis
2) Meiosis
Basic Difference Mitosis and Meiosis:-
Mitosis and Meiosis both are originally types of division of cells . But there are many conflicts and differences in both of divisions. As Mitosis is a cell division which gone through in the somatic cells of the body or organisms, while the Meiosis is a type of cell division which generally occurs in the germ cells mostly.IN mitosis cell divides on a single time , but in Meiosis this division get through the process two times as …show more content…
While in the Meiosis there takes cell div ision two times but chromosomes divides only single time.
2) Mitosis usually occurs in the somatic cells. While Meiosis takes place in the germ cells.
3) Mitosis generally takes place in both sexually and asexually reproducing organisms. While we should know that Meiosis only occurs in sexually reproducing organisms.
4) In Mitosis the DNA replicates only one time in one cell division. On the other hand DNA replicates single time for two cell divisions.
5) Synapsis do not occurs in the Mitosis , While in the Meiosis suanapsis of Chromosomes is necessary in its step known as prophase.
6) In Mitosis the daughter cells obtained are 4 haploid cells , while in the process of Meiosis we get two diploid cells.
7) In mitosis the chromatids are very close to each other, while in Meiosis chromosomes are separated during the required steps of the
