By familiarizing workers with this manual it allows for a higher level of precision and understanding when preparing our figures for dead.

Then the fingers and toes are individually wrapped. The arms are legs are wrapped separately. Within the many layers of wrapping, the embalmers place amulets to protect the body throughout its journey through the underworld. While the mummy is being wrapped, A priest reads out spells to help ward off evil spirits and help the deceased accomplish his journey to the afterlife. The arms and legs are then tied together. A papyrus scroll containing spells from the Book of the Dead is placed in between the wrapped hands. More layers of linen strips are added. Inbetween the layers the linen is painted with liquid resin that helps keep the bandages together. A cloth is wrapped around the body and is then painted with a picture of the god Osiris. Lastly, A large cloth is wrapped around the entire mummy and is then attached using strips of linen. A board of painted wood is placed on top of the mummy before it is put into a coffin. The first coffin is then put inside a second coffin.
Burial
A funeral is held for the deceased and his family mourns his death. A ritual entitled the ‘Opening of the Mouth’ is performed by a priest. This ritual allows for the deceased to eat and drink again. The body and its coffin are then placed inside a stone sarcophagus in the tomb. Valuable objects and various essential goods are arranged in the tomb.
