This is owing to the fact that no matter how well we believe we understand the universe, although now we are aware we barely know anything, there is always a chance that our current theories are incorrect in representing an objective reality. One recognized example of this is Newtonian Mechanics. Although Newton’s equations and laws hold true for most scenarios that we utilize them today, they are not a true representation of how the universe works. We are familiar with this since Einstein came and presented his theory of relativity, or more so his own expansion on an already existing theory of electrical relativity. The equations that Einstein created for his theory will work in all the situations that Newton’s equations will along with countless other scenarios that generally involve speeds approaching the speed of light. For hundreds of years, Newtonian Mechanics were the generally accepted laws of the universe. This is simple to understand since the only times when Newtonian Mechanics failed were under extreme situations where time and space were warped. These scenarios are unknown to the multitudes today and during Newton’s reign even fewer knew of them. And during that time many perceived the world to be dictated by Newtonian Mechanics, which is arguably correct in a sense that on the scale Newton’s equations will work. But they do not accurately represent an objective reality. This indicates …show more content…
The search for an objective theory of everything will continue as long as humans exhibit any amount of curiosity towards the workings of the universe. Ultimately there will be no way to achieve such a theory as it will need to be tested and work for every possible situation which is impossible to do considering how little we in truth know about the universe and what occurs within it. This essentially inhibits the perception of any objective reality by humans. Which subsequently comes to the question of whether or not there is such thing as an objective reality. This is a difficult question taking into account that there is no real proof of an objective reality only data and theories that point to the possibility of its existence. I do believe there is an objective reality for the reason that our theories seem to be getting increasingly accurate towards something. However, seeing as perception of said objective reality is doomed, our own realities will continue to diverge at certain points which will continue to create conflict between
