I want to be judged for who I am, Johnnie Jordan Pera. A 17 year old bisexual student living in a world of new possibilities. I want to leave a mark on the world and I want to remembered as a person who even though has had a past that wasn't so great, has learned from his past and actions to become a man of his own intelligence and integrity. I've always preferred to be the lone wolf type of person as there is no one in this world who can want what I do. We are all different people and we need to be free and willing to change the world one leap at a time. As Buddha once said, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” These are the words that wake me up in the morning, the words that I follow. The past does not define me, today does not define me, the future and what I WILL do, defines me. 600 words cannot describe how my life is, it merely shows a glimpse of what I have to overcome on a daily basis. I will become my own person and I will not follow in someone else's path. I have to live with the truth, my parents are homophobic and they would never accept me for who I am. My grades are what I earned even if they are not
