For my family to have a set ideal culture is crazy, because there are so many smaller groups that have different values and norms that are ideal to them. Culture gives everyone a different meaning of life that is constantly changing. My goal is to let my family see that their culture is different and normal to them, and we might be the weird and rude ones to them. I explained to my whole family that each family’s culture and subculture are different. We are a very outgoing and talkative family, while the other family is quiet and keeps to them selves. Times change and we are all from different places of the world that every individual has adapted to different norms and values where they are from. My family is use to having certain food and has been brought up only knowing what they have eaten their whole life, so when the new kid brought the weird lunch to school, they did not see it as acceptable or delicious. I told the youngster that everyone has different traditions and food that are normal and delicious to them, so it is not nice to make fun of someone else’s yum before you try it yourself. I also mentioned when I heard that the new kid doesn’t talk in class, is that where he came from it probably was normal
