In high school, I took Introduction to Education at DMACC. This class gave me a taste of what education was. Although at times, I doubt my ability to succeed, I know I will be worthy of teaching youth. Teaching, to me, is about giving more than your all each and every day. It is about treating each and every student equally to ensure they all have sufficient opportunities to succeed. I do not want students to feel limited by their education. I want their education to motivate and inspire them to exceed their full potential. Young children should believe they can be whatever they want to be. I am focused on making a difference through each and every student. Although looking at the big picture is important, it is equally important to not lose sight of what makes the big picture possible. My goal is to build an individual relationship with each of my students. I understand the complexity of the diversity in the classroom; nonetheless, this diversity will allow me to connect with my students on an individual basis.
