To be given the opportunity to apply for the National Honors Society fills me with delight. When students are nominated they are chosen by their excellence in scholarship, leadership, character, and service with their community and knowing i meet the requirements I would gladly like to become a member of the national honors society. The National Honors Society will give me the chance to be acknowledged other than just my honor roll excellence but my excellence overall. During my younger stage of life always had the ambition to succeed starting off by always being ahead of my classmates, getting my work done before everyone else, and also helping students who didn't understand the material.…
National Honor Society, or NHS, is an organization that recognizes students of outstanding character, leadership, service and scholarship. To qualify for NHS, a student must have a GPA of 4.0 or higher, have leadership as well as volunteer experience and be of good character. I deserve to be in NHS because I am a hard-working student, participate in many extracurricular activities and have a strong sense of integrity.…
As can be seen, I consider myself a great candidate for the Gamma Tau Delta Honor Society, and not only because of my academic achievements so far, but also because of my dedication to serve others in the community. I would like to end my essay with a quote by Mother Teresa: “We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do,” which to me is very accurate, because many times by just being there for a person, family, or community during a time of need can mean so much more to them, then what we actually think.…
I think I should be in National Junior Honor Society because I have great leadership skills. I love to help out with kids and make sure they are included in everything. It would be a good learning experience leading school activities such as dances and concession stands. I want to join National Junior Honor Society because it sounds like a fun learning opportunity and skills I could use my whole life. These skills I could use in everyday life and forever.…
National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me! I have been dreaming to be in this society ever since the end of fifth grade. I would love to be involved in NJHS and share my suggestions and listen to other people’s ideas. I am very passionate to help those in need. For an example, I have donated many foods, clothing, utensils, and more to Vietnam and to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.…
National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me, and is an organization that I really hope to be in. I love doing service not because I am forced to, but I get to be with my friends and is also a way for me to give back to the community. I love helping the needy and have participated in countless activities. For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy. Being in NJHS will give me a chance to find even more ways to do more service and become a leader.…
One privilege that I have had that many others have not, was being admitted into International Thespian Honor Society my freshman year. The rule to becoming a thespian is that you must have had spent one year with Mrs. Pla-Guzman, the head of theatre department, you must have completed a total of two shows, either teching or acting, and you must be in her class. I had only been in Mrs.Pla's class for a total of two months, and I had just begun rehearsals for Oklahoma, when I received an email from Mrs.Pla-Guzman inviting me into the Thespian Honor Society. I was astonished, excited and very flattered. However, being admitted into the International Thespian Honor Society, freshman year, is not my accomplishment.…
I, Jessica Fagan am a profoundly honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit that I have aspired to become a member of the National Honor Society since the beginning of my highschool career. I am a well rounded student that successfully balances academics and extracurricular activities such as music, athletics, and extra math courses. I believe that I show qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. My accomplishment of a 96.72 average in my 9th grade year has motivated my peers and encourages their academic success as well as my own.…
I, Luke Davis, am deeply honored to be among the few select students who are being considered for National Honors Society. This is an opportunity that I have been looking forward since the beginning of my Junior year. National Honors Society does great things in the community that I believe I can contribute to. National Honors Society recognizes students who keep a grade point average of 87% or above and have a commendable character. I believe that I have and can maintain both of these criteria.…
I am profoundly devoted to service and have spent the past four years dedicated to improving my school and community. The activities and awards listed below represent my diverse interests and abilities. Throughout high school, I have strived to challenge myself by embracing greater responsibilities in multiple organizations in order to make a difference. I would like to highlight my work with the National Honor Society (NHS). Currently, I am president of my school’s chapter.…
To my Chapter, First thing first I am the realest, I am a woman of my word and you either love me or you hate me . No but seriously today is the day that I pass the daily care and welfare of my beloved Theta Eta chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha on to my sisters Rachel, Lanae, Ashlyn , Alyssa, Ana, Kimberly, Lauren G, Lauren E, Kara, Lexi, Abbi, Kaitlyn, winter and the future sisters of theta eta .. The National Honors Society is an elite organization for students who display excellent academic achievements and are standouts within their community. The National Honors Society serves as a resourceful group of students who are looked upon as role models to all that surround them. This is an incredible outlet for students who wish to make a difference in their school and community. The National Honors Society at Nottingham High School provides exquisite tutors in a variety of school subjects. If inducted into such a prestigious organization I wish to assist in the expansion of the minds of our generation through countless tutoring hours.…
First of all, I would like to state that I am honored to be given the opportunity to become a member of National Honor Society. Receiving the letter letting me know that I am eligible to apply has been my goal ever since I entered high school. NHS does such an amazing job at helping the community, and that is all I have ever wanted to do - help others. Generally speaking, I am more of a behind-the-scenes person. However, taking charge, when necessary, is something I enjoy doing.…
After my two full years at Roscommon High School, I am very grateful to have reached the standard for National Honor Society membership. This is an opportunity that not everyone has the privilege to be a part of during their high school career. I would like to display the ways in which I have demonstrated the required assets to be a part of this organization. Not only do I possess the qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and service, but through N.H.S., I am certain that I will grow tremendously in each of these areas. The first quality I have demonstrated throughout my life, but more specifically, my high school career, is character.…
Before I start my essay, I would like to thank the National Honors Society committee at Agawam High School for selecting me to essentially become a member of an elite organization that helps our community prosper in numerous ways. I have always wanted to be part of this group of scholarly individuals since the start of freshman year. Personally, I really started to understand what the letters N.H.S. meant when I attended my sister’s induction ceremony last year. I believe the pillars of NHS including character, service, and leadership helps lead our community to become a better place. Famous psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung’s quote “You are what you do, not what you’ll say you’ll do” pertains to me in various ways.…
