Many people look over the fact that it is inevitable that money loss is involved in this process. This quote displays to the reader how much the United States really does spend on helping combat water pollution, whether or not it is pollution that is allowed, or accidental. Think about how much money ten billion dollars is. With that kind of money, absolutely anything is possible, and that just shows how much the U.S does care about this epidemic, and they are willing to spend such a large amount of money in order to put this problem to an end. The more and more bodies of water becoming polluted, the more animals are being put in danger. "The oceans also hold more aquatic ecosystems than anywhere else and probably contain many more living things and ecosystems that science has not yet discovered. (Maczulak)" This quote displays how important the ocean is, and how many different types of organisms are living within it. There are even some which are not discovered yet, which really gives the reader a sense of how large it actually is. The problem of water pollution will immensely effect the population of the ocean, and since there are so many different living creatures within the ocean, it will be impossible to tell which ones are being put at
