I think technology is changing the way nursing will be practiced and therefore nursing’s focus can be spent on other areas for the patient. I actually feel excited for the future of nursing. I suspect better outcomes for our patients and the patients having a better experience/association to medical care. Currently, the environment of nursing extends to many different areas in the medical community, from hospitals to public health to mental health to home health. Nurses play the biggest part as medical care providers for many people. I believe that in the future, nursing will extend even further. For example, just recently nursing clinics are setting up at the local pharmacy. One can only wonder where nursing can play a role next. I believe that the responses I get from my patients are what influence my nursing practice. I am a big observer. I watch what has been effective in my care and I also watch how my coworkers handle problems when they arise. If the intervention was effective, I remember and incorporate it into my practice. If it ineffective, or not worth the effort, I think of ways or situations where it may have been more effective. Either way, I am constantly learning new
