Usability refers to methods for improving ease of use during the design process. The goal of a website is to be easy and pleasant to use. A website also needs to provide the features its users want. On the Internet Usefulness is a key component for survival. If the company’s website is difficult to use, people will simply leave the site. If the homepage fails to deliver what the company has to offer, visitors leave the site. If users get lost on the website, the information is hard to read, or doesn’t provide the information needed, people will leave. People don’t want to spend a lot of time trying to figure out a website. They will move on and find a company that has a more useful website.

A poor website could make you get the impression of a poor product or company. The site needs to be user friendly and easier to access. The company needs to add quality content instead of having the user having to read the small print of the long terms and conditions agreements. This makes it appear that the company has something to hide by not stating the valuable information. The website could have more keywords to access the information users want to find
