Health Psychology (BEHL 3012).
Health Psychology is a specialist psychology course revolving around the association of individual psychology with physical health. This course will help me to understand how to help others health through psychological means as well as my own. In learning how to better manage stress I can increase the likelihood of reaching my goals through decreasing time spent worrying and procrastinating tasks that require my attention. I know it will add to my knowledge regarding helping people, a highly regarded value of mine, as well as support my endeavour to attain my desired GPA (University of South Australia, 2016c).

Although, instead of allowing my self-doubt to ensue and refusing to speak up and ask for help or succumbing to overwhelming stress I would persevere. In doing this I would look to my family for support then speak to the course coordinator initially or the program director to see what alternative pathways or options I may take in achieving my goals, hence using my adaptation skills.
Competition.
As my reason for striving to gain entry into the Psychology Honours year is to potentially continue postgraduate study in the form of Masters; competition is a clear threat. Demand has been on the rise quite consistently in psychology whilst provision of resources and funding has been decreasing (Helms & Rogers, 2011), this creates doubt as to whether merit exists in goals of becoming a registered psychologist. Thus my skills in adaptation would be beneficial in such a scenario in researching subfields of psychology and alternate career options and opportunities.
