Additionally I also was able to take part in voluntary work at St Joseph’s hospice in a less developed country, whilst there I organised events for children with disabilities who were neglected by society. This was an amazing experience as it opened the realities of life, it emphasised on the level of privilege we have compared to them. Sadly the children at the centre were only a small minority of disabled children in the country that were being cared for. Despite being one of the saddest experiences, working at the centre increased my leadership skills as I led many events for the children and helped teach them basic English and maths. This is something that I would want to take
