Mindlessly, I took off jogging at a decent pace with Delvin beside. Breath after breath, my mind got more lightheaded. Stride after stride, the muscles of my legs slowly diminishing and tearing. Halfway through the race, each minute felt like 10. My spine unfolded out a sharp pain, and with feet numbed, my decent pace began to drastically slow down. With throats and lungs dry as the Sahara Desert, my brain told me to stop at every water fountain I encountered. At the fountain, I splashed water against my face that was already trailed by sweat.
