The hike started out easily when we crossed the bridge as measly boys posing for the before picture. We had walked only about a mile down before we took our first break. We had stopped at a small campsite with logs on which to sit. I took a sip of water from my red and black hiking backpack to rehydrate. The forecast for the day was low 80’s for the morning. The water shimmered as if there was a spotlight on a broadway musical. Dan had a great idea of climbing to the top of the rocks to see the scenery. We decided to climb and of course the effort was worth the view. We saw miles and miles of luscious oak wood trees and to the right of us the top of the waterfall. About 30 minutes later we had ended up in the freezing cold water right below the waterfall. I had the brilliant idea of standing under the waterfall.
