It can be described as a way of life which answers our questions about reality (Bennie, 2017). Through a worldview, one is able to gain an understanding of who they believe God to be, the nature of external creation, the definition of human life, and much more (Bennie, 2017). My worldview is influenced by my personal beliefs as well as my cultural practices. First, my personal beliefs are shown through my values. The biggest factor of my personal values that influences my worldview is science. As a future healthcare professional, I see the world through a scientific lens in order to gain an understanding of what already exists. Science allows me to gain knowledge of human life and understand the processes of the body. However, I also value my religion. My cultural practices create a relationship with God. My worldview shows me that God created the entirety of earth and man-kind. Our role here on earth is to fulfill God’s purpose. From the influence of cultural practices, the teachings from the bible outline my moral principles. First, one must always uphold integrity. This means that the individual must always be honest and make morally correct decisions. For example, when dealing with a sick patient the professional should always be truthful about their condition and possible treatment options. The patient’s well-being should remain a priority to ensure the most optimal treatment. In addition, the healthcare provider must also maintain a sense of responsibility. Meaning, the provider must take responsibility for their actions as well as hold themselves accountable. By doing so, the healthcare professional can ensure that they upholding ethical behavior. These ethical principles are extremely important in the healthcare field as they establish a code of conduct that providers must follow. This ensures that actions being taken are in the best interest of the patient. By following ethics the provider is able to, “provide greater opportunities for to save lives and relieve pain and suffering,” (Özçiftçi & Yılmaz,
