The attitude towards video games is that they are too gruesome, violent and can kill brain cells. Video games are pieces of art created from the very creative minds of computer programmers. There’s a lot more to video games then just shooting and killing people online there is a crazy amount of coding that goes into every single game. Yes, some video games can be violent and bloody but that’s why they get a M rating because only mature people should be playing that certain video game. There are many perspectives of Video Games such as historical, social and pop culture.
The first video was founded around the 1940sto 1960s considering your option. According to TechCrunch “The first recognized example of a game machine was unveiled by Dr. Edward Uhler Condon at the New York World’s Fair in 1940.” (Chikhani, “The Early Years”). The historical perspective of video games shows and talks about how the gaming industry has grown throughout time, with many great advancements in its history of course such as the “Xbox”, “PlayStation”, “Wii” and more. The view of society perspective proves that video games can be very beneficial to society, and they can also reflect social issues, such as violence(war), education and even what you want to do the rest of your life. The psychological perspective explains how some gamers can interpret a game into their actual which obviously could be good or bad depending on the person. Many people can view video games as stupid and making the youth dumb however video games can be a learning experience. When children grow up and have to decide what they want to do the rest of the life they might become a video game designer or just a programmer which is one of the best job fields to get in
